I can not install service pack 1 for Windows 7 from automatic updates. I am trying to install on a clean install of Windows 7. All other updates have been istalled prior to installing Service pack 1. I have tried 3 clean installs but it still wont let me install it. The pc I am having issues with is an Acer M1610 Core2 Duo E4600. The pc had Windows Vista Home Premium before, but I upgraded it to Windows 7 Home Premium.

    Could someone please help...? o_O

Out of curiosity...is the file just the SP1 or the whole OS with SP1? The reason I am asking is because its over 2gb in size...

ownloaded and tried to install this but get an error code 0x80070570 :(
It says windows cannot install required files. The file may be corrupt or missing. Make sure all files required for installation are available, and restart the installation.

    Please help..

Im booting from a USB. It loads fine and goes all the way to expanding files and fails at 68%
I have tried different RAM, a 1gb stick and a pair of 512's, both give the same error.

Tried this also...formatted all partitions, then deleted them all so only 1 large drive is available. Still the same :(

No i did not verify the ISO hash before installing it. I know what it is but not sure how to do that...No other drives are connected.
Checking the HD now with the drive fitness test..

No upgrade advisor was run, didnt think i need it. Vista 32 bit was installed before. Windows 7 32bit had installed from a disk that I have but when it gets to installing the update SP1 it crashes all time, hence why I tried installing the OS with SP1 combined. Im installing 32bit now.
