I have installed office 2013 VL on to my friend's laptop which has windows 8 (I have recently installed retail version then uninstalled it). The problem is that when i try to open an office app, it shows that kind of error. I have uninstalled and reinstalled it but no luck. Any suggestion is welcome. thank you
have you tried to repair the installed office version, by running setup again? what is the error you are getting?
Give some screenshots or explainations, if possible, and try to repair first (as said nick@number11) .
Microsoft Office cannot verify the license for this product. You should repair the Office program by using Control Panel. As i said i have repaired, uninstalled, reinstalled the software but it still don't work. I found a workaround here. office.microsoft.com/en-us/help/office-2013-known-issues-HA102919019.aspx I'd try this once i see my friend. Hope it'll work. Thanks for your suggestions ^^
Just like all the CRAP from M$... when you uninstall it leaves lot of TRASH behind.... You have to 100% the trash, where was a Fixit during beta test... I found the easiest way.... reinstall Retail.... reboot then use REVO Uninstaller.. then use the tracer to find an remove all the TRASH... left behind... REBOOT. x2 then Install Office VL... validated and tested. it will work...
