    I do not use Google Chrome. I have deployed version of Chromium in the past, early year 2014. From my understanding, Google Chrome does not auto-update rather another software automatically updates Google Chrome. Further, Google's update software is typically bundled with the Google Chrome installer.

    My understanding is that the more recent version of Google Chrome have an the internal chrome://plugins page with a Google Update entry. Disabling the entry might prevent update.
