Help: "First Start"

    Everytime I re-boot I get a black screen that says "Preparing Windows For Its First Start".

    The problem came after I inserted Dell OEM info into registry from Original OEM folder. Any Help on fixing this issue would be greatly appreciated.

    Also, No Emu/Loader, Bios Mod + Cert.

    I had the same issue once try this.

    Open up regedit and go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\Setup

    Check SystemSetupInProgress, and make sure it's set to 0

    Now check the following entries and modify them to the following

    OsLoaderPath = \
    RestartSetup = 0
    SetupType = 0
    SystemSetupInProgress = 0
    SetupPhase = 0
    CmdLine =
    OOBEInProgress = 0

    Thanks alot!, assuming windeploy.exe cmd line had something to do with that one :p.

    I was messing with some $oem$ and oobe files uploaded from another HP laptop so that could've been it. Glad I could help :eek:
