Guys I have a Acer laptop with genuine Windows Vista Home Premium installed by default. Now I wanna install Windows 7 with Daz's Loader 1.7.7, will the original genuine Acer certs get overwritten? What can I do to make my Windows Vista genuine again if I plan to reinstall?

If you want to install vista again ? i can't imagine someone wants vista back after using 7. If you have a recovery disk there is no problem, if you don't have a recovery disc then go to this topic and get your certificate from there.

PS: You can also back it up with slic dump toolkit located here http://forums.mydigitallife.net/threads/6925?highlight=toolkit

Thanks, I tried Windows 7 on my old computers and I love it, I know the loaders are doing well and they are awesome, but I can't imagine the day Microsoft found a way to block it or somehow patch it, when there's no working cracks out there, I'll have to move back. I just can't stand those nagging messages, and Microsoft won't just look at their OS getting pirated without doing anything.

I have another question, I made a recovery disk with Acer eRecovery, does that counts? If I have the recovery disk I don't have to backup my certs? And yeah, do I need to backup my Product Key too? Is it the one at the back of my laptop?

Anyway thanks for your help ;D.
