    Hi all,

Can someone take a look at this BIOS file: http://global-download.acer.com/GDFiles/BIOS/BIOS/BIOS_Acer_2.21_A_A.zip?acerid=635264178355568077&Step1=NOTEBOOK&Step2=ASPIRE&Step3=ASPIRE%20V3-571G&OS=ALL&LC=en&BC=ACER&SC=EMEA_27

I would like to extract and inspect the nvidia GF108 BIOS, possibly modify and replace it.

I have been following this guide but have not had much luck getting a vbios dump from the system.

AndyP's Phoenix tool can open the 'Q5WV1221.exe' and dump the contents.

    Can anyone assist?

    Thanks.

    Hi rapideye,

Did you try GPU-Z for extraction?

After the dump you can find the module with a binary compare for sure ;)
Another method would be using sfk (swiss file knife) for finding NVIDIA text strings inside extracted modules.

    best regards

Open your file with UEFITool and search for "nvidia" ASCII text. All related modules will be found, there are like 7 of them.
