Hello all the experts, Greetings! I'm encountering an wired issue in my system. My Windows 10 LTSC version 1809 OS build 17763.1697 is running an empty DVD drive since 3-4 days at times continuously and sometimes occasionally for an hour or so. I uninstalled the DVD drive from the device manager then restarted the PC several time then reinstalled the driver, nothing changed. My system cursor icon shows busy with an arrow and a tiny disk sign. Any permanent solution for this wired issue? Thanks and Regards, sid_16.
My first guess would be a hardware error, something within the DVD drive itself. If you have a spare, swap it out. If you don't have a spare, then blow $20 on a new one.
I suggest try use USB Flash drive 2.0 or I prefer USB 3.0 and I use Rufus 3 tools and works charming.. Maybe you had bad ISO files.. Suggest check CRC or Checksum ISO files..
Let me make sure I've got this straight. You installed UltraIso software, and this caused your physical DVD drive to start spinning continuously? That is quite weird. Mind you, I have encountered weirder things, but not often.
My issue I think is resolved automatically but can't find its problem. Since last 2days the windows boots up normally and the optical drive light blinks for half a minute then stops....no continuous blinking is seen . Don't know how its solved if it were a hardware issue!
Which disc do you use ? DVD-R or DVD-RW ? because DVD-RW can show you it's empty because the maximum of use of it.
Again faced an wired issue after update from 10 LTSC version 1809 OS build 17763.1697 to 1728. USB optical mouse suddenly became laggy, sometime it freezes then moves slowly. Is it the cumulative update or the hardware issue? Everything was fine weeks before the update but it all started after the update(s).
