I've got a Acer Aspire X3810 with BIOS version P01-A3 on, I'm trying to flash it to the latest one from the Acer website which is P01-B2L. *Made a Backup of the Original BIOS just incase* Dos code I am using is: AFUDOS.exe P01-B2L.ROM /P /N /C /REBOOT It keeps coming up 'Error : File ROM ID incorrect', after checking the ROM ID for each of the ROM files, they are: P01-A3 (P01-A3) P01-B2L (IG43LA00) Anyone have any suggestions on how I will get around this? Thanks in advance
Just posting an update on this, have been searching the internet for a solution for a while. Found out where I was going wrong, P01-B2L is for Linux, I have just updated the BIOS for each newer update than the one the PC already had on (P01-A3). Installed P01-B1 then P01-B2 whilst checking the version in the BIOS to see if it had took.
