Today my idiot friend started his computer, and no go...
the windows xp splash screen appear to a minute, after that reboots.
He asked from me to back up his stuff before sending his laptop to restoration.
I used Hiren's bootcd on USB key, and attached my 1tb harddrive, but i cannot access his c drive.
and all his stuff in that drive. probaly he has a corrupt filesystem on that partition.
    The D drive fully working.
Any Help to recover the files or the partitions?
    Thanks!
    P.S
He has an old hp laptop with winxp. only works with the charger plugged in.

    sorry for my bad english

Is the drive pass word protected? Alternative : take out drive you want to recover and connect to another computer. Then using Hiren's BOOt and see if you can access Data you want to recover
