Hi everybody ; I have an asus laptop x550LB and i can't find out its chipset name (for example Q67 , H61 , H67 or something else ) In device manager , it says intel 8 series chipset Can you help me to find out my chipset name please ?
Yes correct mxman2k , 4th generation Hashwell how can i know the exact name of the chipset by way of any software or within windows ? Is there any way to learn this information ?
Hi MS_User , I clicked the link you gave. I am using only chrome browser but when i clicked the button on that page , it did nothing Am i doing something wrong ?
not sure if it will help you find the right chipset number but as its intel's own program it should do.
uhmmm , i clicked the intel dedection.exe , i waited for it to finish analyzing system after a while , it said "All Done" and "refer back to your browser to see the results" But there is nothing on my chrome browser lol , and no new page created by the software I think it doesnt work with chrome browser Thank you for your help mxman2k
I use chrome too, did all its checks like yours and then nothing! it not even open IE or edge? I am still guessing your chipset will be H81 or H85 because it is an earlier model than the x750 it is most likely the H81 type. The two chipsets are very very close.
@ tefor - Have you tried setting IE or Edge as your default browser and tried it again? You can change it back to Chrome after you obtain the results.
Hi John , Unfortunately i removed internet explorer and microsoft edge with the MSMG toolkit.. I am using only Chrome , but chrome couldn't respond to intel tool.. I uninstalled chrome and installed Firefox but the result is the same..
Thanks MS_User ; Unfortunately that intel tool didnt work with chrome browser and no IE or Edge installed on my computer
