Your account still seems to be active somehow. I started a thread asking for the reasons in the General Discussion.
I think you can view it by making a forum account. It says the Demonoid account and forum account aren't the same.

Do those upload / download statistics look correct to you Pkaji ? If the answer is yes then there is your problem. Demonoid requires an up / down ratio of 1.0 or higher, otherwise warnings then banned.

 

Sorry didn't know it required a Demonoid account in order to make one in the forums.
It doesn't look anything can be done.

Also, my ratio is 0.09.

 

The admin on Demonoid are complete idiots... I was banned with no warnings because 1 of my torrents had a false positive. Some virus scanners were picking up the keygen as a virus, it was totally clean.

 

You have yourself to blame for that. They've made clear of the rules and you broke it. They go by their absolute rules and avoid any discussion on the reasons for being warned/banned.
They would probably be lenient about things if they weren't the most known private invitation-only torrenting site but that's not the case and they must follow accordingly.



I asked if you would be banned for making a new account with the same IP. Going to have to wait for a new reply.

 

This is off-topic maybe, but since you R all talking bout demonoid :

I can't access the forums. I couldn't when I registered about 2 months ago.
At first I thought it was a fluke and would get fixed. But after two months it's still the same.

It always says can't access the database. So now I'm thinking maybe it's on my end ?

I did send them an email a week ago, but I still haven't recieved an answer at all.

So if anyone here knows any of the admins or mods at demonoid, please tell them to get off their butts and read the mail I have sent them, and (maybe) provide me with some help or at least an answer.

 

You registered for a Demonoid account or Demonoid forum account? They're both different and you have to be signed in your Demonoid account in order to create a forum account.

 

I know. That's the thing. When I'm logged on at demonoid, and want to create a forum account, I just can't access the forum page, and therefor can't create a forum account.

It seems like a small percentage of users suffer from it also. Doesn't seem like there has been any progress from any of the threads though. Latest posts were in July 09.

Aahh, now that makes perfect sense to me. Much obliged for posting the answer here.
But in my case it can't be the router. It's running dd-wrt with a fixed IP, and have allready tried resetting several times with no luck.

But I do find it funny that right after reading this post I logged on to demonoid and I can now suddenly access the forums without doing anything. First time since I registered allmost two months ago.
Coincidence ?


Anyway, thanx to p0rkguy for aiding me a bit with this.
Hope the forum stays accessible from now on.
