hey guys ,so i have had my dell desk top forever and its always worked fine ,last week the hard drive failed ,so i bought a new one cause for what i do on my pc its always done the job,i install windows off the disk that i got with it,and i kept getting a error code when trying to activate windows ,so i call windows and they tell me that its out od date and for 200 bucks we will put windows 7 or 8 on it ,ok well maybe i dont windows 7 or 8 maybe your greedy fuks should stop pushing people into buying things they dont want ,shot id use xp out of all of them if iu have a install for it and it would work.anyways does anyone know how to just go into regedit and edit it to just remove the activate stuff ,i could care less if it has the little side thing saying this is not a genuine windows ,long as i can turn on my pc and use it ,ok well any ideas would be great thanks ... CALL ME HARD HEADED AND CHEAP but im a single dad trying to get by and for them to make it so i cant use the stuff that came with the pc so i have to buy their new stuff just makes me >< gerrrrrrr lol
didn't u ask in another thread and were told by another member to use windows loader? I have a old pc also that has slic for vista n bios.upgrade to win 8.1 pro or enterprise volume license and use kms activator.
i downloaded to zip fresh installed windows as soon as windows started frist thing i did was installed that loader and nothing happened besides getting 3 extra tag along programs for get cheap deals lol
its all good,i used regedit and knocked out the 30day timer ,went into cmd and checked slmgr -xpr comes up as just a empty box ,but thanks
