Help please

    Hello im getting a new mobo and i have a preinstall OEM version of windows 8 on my hard drive i am planning to use that hard drive on my new mobo so basicly how do i get a clean install copy of windows 8 i have my OEM key

    You need to download a copy of Windows 8.1 same edition that matches your pre-installed OS and OEM-DM key.

    Ehm ... isn't an OEM key bound to the UEFI/BIOS? After changing the board it won't activate online i guess.

    Yes yes!!! ah stu$%@ me!!! I forgot that "major" detail.

    Then he needs to tell whether his new mobo is a spare/replacement of the old OEM mobo...
    In this case I guess a new OEM-DM key comes along with, bound into UEFI (really don't know this case). If so he still needs to use the same Windows 8.1 edition of the pre-installed OS.
    Now, if he purchased a generic mobo it's pointless the use of OEM-DM key and remesama could make use of any available edition and activate with KMS activator.
