HELP! RemoveWAT messed up my OS! I can't run ANY programs anymore...

    Even after restoring WAT, applications give me an error when I try to run them. Not all of them, but most of them, including internet explorer. This is a 64 bit system, and I had the KB update uninstalled before I ran removeWAT.

    This is the error I get:

    "Application Error

    The application was unable to start correctly (0xc0000142). Click OK to close the application."

    Again it's x64 7600 so it should have worked. Any ideas? thanks in advance!

    old version. reformat and redownload

    It's probably worth trying sfc /scannow before jumping straight to reformatting.

    just run the upgrade to re-install windows.

    In case it's an old version of RemoveWAT u need to got to %systemroot%\SysWOW64\ and restore user32.dll.
    If the error also applies to x64 native apps, something went terribly wrong.

    I did a system restore and then downloaded a more recent version of removeWAT and everything is fine now.

    I didn't have to reformat thankfully.
