    Hi,

Hopefully someone will be able to help me, basically i want to put a usb3 mini pcie card in my lenovo m72z model 3558 - A39,
but im hitting the "1802: Unauthorized network card is plugged in - Power off and remove the miniPCI network card."
    Wall :(

the desktop didn't originally come with a wifi module so i dont know what the pci id would be.

I've done a dump of the current bios using a CH431A tool and a Soic Clip
    http"colon""slash""slash"images"dot"a1b2c3"dot"co"dot"uk/BIOS.rar
    if this helps.
side note: 20 Posts to be able to post a link carnt be goot for antispamming :(

i have the Vender ID and the PID of the USB3 card according to the drivers .inf file
    VID_1912&PID_0014
    VID_1912&PID_0015

I think i have found the file that needs editing, "4953F720-006D-41F5-990D-0AC7742ABB60_947.ROM" its the only one i have found that has the lenovo PID/VIDs in. i have tried changing it to the ones for the USB3 card, but i still get the error message :(

if someone can help or point me in the right direction please :)

I'ave also done a RW report if that helps.

Did you find a way to bypass the whitelisting?
