I have a MSI Master2 FAR7 motherboard and I want to use with it either a Powercolor HD3850 AGP 512 Mbyte graphic card or a HIS HD4670 AGP 1 Gbyte graphic card, but with both card I don't have video at all.
The system boot without any problem with either a Sapphire x1950PRO 512 Mbyte or a Matrox G450 32 Mbyte.
Both card works on ABIT AV8 mainboard that has the same chipset, VIA K8T800PRO, of the Master2 FAR7; the SATA controller is VT8237 for ABIT and VT8237R for MSI.

My system has 4 Gbyte Ram, 2 SATA HD, 2 Opteron 275 processor.

The MSI forum told me that probably was a problem that video RAM doesn't fit in the reserved area, but bith Sapphire and Powercolor has 512 Mbyte RAM, so I don't think that is only this the problem.
Comparing two version of the MSi BIOS when they assure to have improved the VGA compatibility I noticed that this files are changed:

    awardext.rom
    awardeyt.rom
    decomp_blk.bin
    _EN_CODE.BIN

but I don't know what they changed.

Is there some module that I could take from ABIT board to improve the VGA compatibility for MSI?

    Thanks

did you disable AGP fast write, and try putting the AGP speed to 4x? ATI cards don't like fast write from what I heard and there maybe problems sometimes with 8x on some motherboards

The BIOS doesn't let me change the AGp speed.
