I am having a problem trying to get Windows 10 Build 10041 installed on one of my computers. I am getting an error message(see attachment) 'something wnet wrong' trying to create the account during install. I do not have this problem on build 9926. Does anyone have any suggestions or experincing simailar issues? Thanks
I'll try using a MS account. I did post the issue on the Windows 10 Build 10041 forum but didn't get any responses. Thanks
No option to logon/create Microsoft account during install. Build 9926 Enterprise x64 installs and works fine. build 10036 Enterprise x64 unable to create account during install, build 10041 Enterprise unable to create account during install. Upgrading from 9926 to 10041 viua fast_ring works fine. I've pulled out all of my hair on this one, doesn't make any since..
I'm not getting that far. I format the hardrive and do a fresh install. When choose Network Settings come up I choose skip. Next I choose customize and select the default setting on each page. The machine starts a Checking Network Connection for a while then comes back with create an account for this PC. I enter my information and it takes about 30 seconds and comes back with Something Went Wrong. If I remove or add A USB device it seems to be working in the background. I can even Mute the speakers but Cannot get past the Account Creation Screen. VERY VERY VERY STRANGE. I have tried different downloaded versions and also a different hard drive and get the same outcome.
You may try these: 1. Turn off your modem/router. 2. Delete the hard drive partition(not format) 3. Install the w10 to that partition, you should be able to create the local account.
what is the hash of your ISO? this is a perfect working one. Code: 5ab573618d748ff8ace2561e39034e98759f7326 *JM1_CPRA_X64FRER_EN-US_DV9.iso
I didn't get the network screen at all on my fresh install and my wireless card was installed. Once I hit customize and set up and turned off some of the features such as bing search, it came up "Checking for connection" and just asked my to create a local account without any network select option. I was able to create a local account, but it's weird since my network connection was fine once I was on the Desktop.
I get the same problem with this download/install as well. This is only happening on one machine a HP 2185dx Intel quad core 2GHz machine with 6gig of memory. This makes absolutely no since. I trying now to make a install ISO with a unattended install with User Name already created. Not sure if this will work either.
I noticed in one comment that you were choosing "Skip" at the network connections screen. Are you using WiFi or just ethernet? Just trying to figure out why you are not getting option to login with Microsoft Account, as that would likely solve your troubles. I'll keep on eye on this thread because I am curious and also hoping that you are able to get this up and running.
When you Skip the connections section, then you will not be presented with the Microsoft Account section. That would be why it goes straight to Local Account. As much as I dislike Microsoft Account and prefer Local Account, using a Microsoft Account in these Windows 10 builds generally avoids a lot of bugs that I have seen on my Local Account installation attempts. Let us know how the Ethernet attempt goes. I would suggest going with Microsoft Account, at least during these preview testing builds, and hopefully that will result in a decent testing experience for you. If Ethernet fails, give install another try but don't skip the connections screen. Make sure you connect successfully to your WiFi network and if it allows you, go the Microsoft Account route. You should be able to convert to Local Account later anyway.
