Hi guys! I just freshly installed Windows Server 2008 R2 Standard, I want to update it using the latest May Monthly Rollup from MS; but the problem is I get an error saying "Failure configuring Windows updates. Reverting changes." I have activated Windows and installed the prerequisites (SSU, ESU, and SHA-2) already as stated by the site. Do you guys know the fix to this?
Did you install the BypassESU bypass? Edit: I see you've found the topic already. Alternatively, the SiMPLiX pack should work on Server 2008 R2, too, although I've never tried it.
Please note: Windows Server 2008 Standard and Windows Server 2008 R2 Standard and higher editions is now end of life update... Good luck with that. Now I am using Windows 2012 R2 Server Standard edition for now still update... ATGPUD2003
I think theirs a issue with the installer i click on it and nothing happens i my doing something wrong
Try disabling SmartScreen and then open installer from cmd as admin rather than double clicking through downloads to skip past MS blocking downloads thing.
