i hope this is the right place for this post

    I have Windows 7 x64 Ultimate OEM:SLP
on a ASUS Motherboard with Key Status: Valid
But when I try to upgrade using a Sep 2020 ISO,
it will only offer a upgrade from Windows Desktop.
When I try I get this message:
"Setup Has Failed To Validate The Product Key"

How can I get around this fail ?

    OR

How can I do a upgrade from Boot ?

Any Help is really, really, Appreciated
    With much Thanks

Can you gif us some more info about the used ISO for upgrading?
You can't do an upgrade from boot.

My install was 2016, 7 Ultimate 64 Asus OEM, done by a ISO Boot upgrade, looks to me like MS has done it again.
After their big push to 10, and after the 7 End of Life, they sure found and patched a ton of bugs.
I really don't like their style. Looks like time for me to go Baah, and follow the herd toward 10. RANT Finished.

I just don't want to lose my Programs and settings, most of which I have forgotten,
Hey what can I say, being 75.
Was hoping I could stick with 7 and not have to do another learning curve.

So no way to get around the Desktop upgrade Validation hurdle ?

I don't have a clue about your video, nice of you to try, thanks.
Sorry, if I gave you the impression that I know what I am doing.
I am still on my W7, only looking at all the stuff about 10.
Still not sure if I want to take the leap.
Looks like much more fiddling than I care to do.
I just want to use my PC without sending a message to MS every time I fart.
And keep out the drive by's, bad guy's, and script kiddies.
If I ever get the chance, I'll slap Bill.

I just need a simple solution, so I can go on with what time I have left.

The video shows you that with the mentioned ISO no key validations are failing.

I gave you the easiest tool to keep win 7 going for a few years.

Other simple solution would be cutting the internet cord/wifi.

What tool is it to use for installing a upgrade OS validation ?,
    Like in your video.
Where do I find it, with info on how to use it ?

I already installed the ESU update bypass,
and installed some by using the Simplix Patches.

    Much thanks.

Once W10 is installed the easiest way to keep W7 like operation is to use programs such "OpenShell v4.4.152.exe" which allows you to have a W7 like Start Menu, etc.
I find many of my older friends have no trouble with the transition from W7 to W10 when using OpenShell. I use it myself with W10 even with over 35 years of experience with multiple operating systems.

After looking at "MS NANNY 10"
I have decided to stick with Win 7 for now, because I don't need or want, MS to hold my hand,
everywhere I go, and what ever I do. This is the most intrusive OS I have ever seen.
Beside that, I don't like how MS gave the finger to all the W7 users, but what can you expect from Gates of Hell.

MSFT should have done a hard cut of WIn 7, most people who want to stay on 7 base their info on copy/paste whining unfounded publications by sensation seekers online.

Bill Gates has no direct link to the MSFT developments for years now and still people use it for their nonsense posts.
