What is the brand name and model name and model number and serial/service tag number of your neighbor's laptop?
How much RAM does it have?
Does it have a hard disk drive(HDD) or a solid state drive(SSD)?

Disabling services is not the only way to speed up that laptop.
And if you disable the wrong services, you can create havoc or wind up with a non-working laptop.

It strongly depends on what he wants to do with his system afterwards.
Does he use Windows Store apps? Does he want to use personalization in Settings?
for example if he wants to use a printer he can't disable Print Spooler.
Does he have a local user account, or does he sync everything with microsoft?

We need to know what the exact SNID number and serial number are on that Acer so it can be properly identified.

I had listed the guides (at https://forums.mydigitallife.net/th...prise-n-ltsc-2021.84509/page-144#post-1771253) that I refer to after doing my own fresh install. As there is no one size fits all, the info is spread out across several different guides on different websites.

from the list you provided, I don’t have CCleaner. I used to use it for clearing my browser disk cache. Then, I learned to clear from the browser settings. Then, I learned to disable the browser disk cache.

Optional to disable defender and updates with Sordum utilities

Disabling services hardly gives you any performance improvement on a system with decent amount of RAM.
If you do a clean windows 10 installation you might gain the performance you are seeking. Keep the startup programs to a minimum.

you can disable some services ..
but the end result will be a buggy system
wi-fi will not work, etc. etc. etc.
    I don't recommend

Especially if its a branded OEM install with all of their crap. A fresh install of just the OS will give more benefit over killing services on a branded OEM install.
