just curious, after you install win 8.1/ mak key did you get the win10 icon first the GWX thingy before upgrading to win 10 pro.?
I Think u have to install original win8 core, activate, uppgrade to 8.1, check aktivation and then uppgrade to 10
But doing so would get me Windows 10 Home. While I want the Pro version. Hence I'm asking the above query..
Just curious, I ask a lot of people. What do you need in PRO that is not in HOME? Or is it the stigma of "Home" that makes you go PRO?
I use bitlocker encryption and direct access. Both these features are only available in Pro .. Can you help ?
You're already using someone's MAK against their will. Why not just re-install 7 pro/ult, activate it with winloader, and upgrade to 10 pro?
Did that as well. Activated Win 7 ultimate clean install with Daz. Upgraded to Win 10 pro. Still Not activated Get generic 10 Pro retail key in activation wizard.. And it says product key blocked! I think my OEM key is messing everything up. I think It is not taking my Windows 7 licence and taking OEM key to activate it instead. What are your views ?
only paranoia that deserves attention is when you are using a KMS solution that uses something outside your network. Microsoft Toolkit doesn't even need to be connected to the internet to give you activation. But Murphy is right, the best way most of us have found to upgrade to 10, is via Win7 SP1
You are not entering a Key anywhere are you? And 10 should ignore the OEM: DM key if win7 is installed, as a matter of fact It does ignore the key on everything I have tried it on.
No. You're doing something wrong. It won't read your old key. It couldn't if it wanted to. Steps: Install windows 7sp1 pro or ult Activate with winloader MAKE SURE YOU HAVE INTERNET ACTIVE upgrade to win10 pro while internet is active
@ Murphy As he already tried dosnt MS already have a HWID for that box, making him not be able to change to pro? Sound stupid but...
