Help with ASROCK ALIVE NF6G VSTA

    I tried to flash the modded bios to my ASROCK ALIVE NF6G VSTA via cd using the dos utility (amf895) but it didn't allow me do it, sayi'ng the bios was blocked or locked, can't remember.

    I typed amf895 moddedbiosfilename

    and it didn't work....

    Asrock motherboards are bad allways try and use their programs for flashing also they dont have recovery any way he is info from ASRock site for flashing your bios.

    There may be a place in bios to disable the bios flash protect. If not in bios, then a jumper on the board. If the bios is write protected, it will not flash.

    Check the manual or website for details on disabling this function..

    I managed to do it with afudos --> command afudos romname /p /b /n /c

    thanks a lot anyway for your help and this great forum! :)

    Thx, ASrock have removed their info on how to update bios in dos mode but your info helped my out.
    Was doing a slic 2.1 on a ASrock ALIVENF6G-VSTA
    Working fine now :)
