Help with BIOS flashing please

    ESC RC415ST-PM (RIO 3) motherboard rev 1.0

    It does not boot with Celeron 430 with its original BIOS, however, should do so with an update. I have other socket 775 cpus but they are even newer/would not work either so I cannot flash BIOS with any of them.

    Is there any way to fool the board (cpu pin mod/bios chip mod) as there is little point to buy an old socket 775 just to update it.

    I'd say that your only hope would be if your system supports Bios Recovery.

    If so, you should be able to Update the Bios in Recovery Mode.

    Thanks.

    Used BIOS recovery jumper.

    There is no floppy connector so tried bootable CD and just a .ROM file in ISO(named SUPER.ROM) but it seems it does not even acces the drive. Tried BIOS.ROM and RECOVERY.ROM names.

    Any ideas welcome.
