Help with SLIC 2.1 on my DELL

    I have a DELL Dimension 9200
    I checked my SLIC, and it is 2.0
    is there any way to mod it to SLIC 2.1?

    I'm sure finally a solution will be found, but for now DELL users will have to wait, because recent DELL bioses use a proprietary format (custom Phoenix bios) - they aren't moddable to insert SLIC 2.1 certificate in ACPI tables... Check the forums for more details.

    Drat, I have the same problem with my Dell Dimension 9200. I noticed someone here saying they activated using Toolkit 1.8 - does that have any side effects?

    Toolkit 1.8 turns your Win7 into a "frankenbuild" it swaps a few files from the RC build to make Win7 appear Activated, but you'll have the timebomb.

    on my dell 9200 i can only activate via toolkit 1.8.
    it activates but the expiration date lasts until 3/10/2010.
    so until a bios with slic 2.1 is available theres nothing we can do

    The modded bios on this forum works on Dell 9200 ok.I flashed my pc with it then used orbit loader 1.4,hit the slic activation and bingo its permanently activated so it says
