Hi I am trying to setup remote login into my windows 7 x64 professional. I am trying to login remotely from a Mac OSX mavericks. Both computers are on the same network. The mac is my main desktop and the windows running comp a HTPC.

Previously I have done this with remote desktop on Mac. Problem is that it required me to make a login and password on my windows account. It also puts the current user in a lock screen. Since my windows computer is a HTPC I don't want a login password or wake from sleep password on it. I'd like it to login directly.

Is there any other way to remotely connect to the windows computer seamlessly. Where the Windows machine doesn't log out, I can connect do what I want and leave and there is no lock screen before or after? Thanks.

    Use Logmein installed on Windows.

Once you access your network remotely through your web browser :)

If its just over the LAN, Logmein wouldn't be the best option IMO. For local access I would use a VNC program; there are heaps on google.
