Hide Windows 7 / Vista Key

    Hi there!

    Can anyone tell me the slmgr-option to completely hide (not restoreable) the Windows-Key?
    I know there is one but I couldn't find it... :(

    dont think this is possible... or oems would be doing this already ;)

    I know IT IS POSSIBLE - read this somewhere before - but don't know where... :mad:

    And how to undo it?

    Can anyone explain how to undo this command once executed.. it has to be a two way command.. :rolleyes:

    but the question is.. why anybody wants to hide an oem key?

    that would be formost for security reasons (malware, hackers,...)

    of you can since its known key, this would be viable for unknown ones :)


    well for example, oems would intergrate key with dism and then hide it, so they would prevent to be used on other maschines, since it wouldnt show eather on install dvd or on maschine it self...

    Uninstalls the key.. doesn't undo hiding.
