Hight network utilization

    Hey Guys I have noticed the past 24 hours that my network utilization on process ntoskrnl.exe is up to 93-99% all the time. what is this process and should I be worried? I have port 8080 open from the outside for sab but thats it.

    I can try that but if i unplug the ethernet adaptor it drops down to 0.

    did you install any new programs which call somewhere home?

    I do believe the new task manager shows you what applications is using the most bandwidth.

    Windows checking for updates or talking to the NSA. Some packet sniffing might tell you. You may also try disabling automatic updates, rebooting, and if the network load disappears, then you know it's that freakin' M$ update again.
