    Hi,
Could you please share the file structure? I have working Vista OEM DVD but for Win 7 it does not take the SLP key and asks for the key just after the initial setup of username and password setup process. Some how its not taking the PID file value.

Does it require pid.txt or something similar inside ei.cfg file for auto detect of oem key ?

I have tried it on 3 different machines... Its not detecting the PID file. Looks like MS changed how the OS setup detects the SLP key.

    (OP)
Yea, I have the links. But I wanted to know if I could use it to automate the key being entered with it. I know you can with Vista's WAIK. But I don't know what or how the OPK works. Like, if it's just for drivers and stuff.

    I'm going to try ei.cfg
    Code:
    [EditionID]
    Ultimate
    [Channel]
    OEM
    [VL]
    0
    [PID]
    PID={product key}

    Or something. Gotta download vmware...

the setup for vista will not work with Windows 7. Keys get entered in the OOBE phase now not setup. You will need to use a new version of the AIK to make an answer file that will work.

I dont really feel like download a 1.6gb iso to install a program im going to use once. plus i dont know how to use waik lol. Any chance you could help me out, or someone else would want to? I just need an answer file for key and cert...Unless cert is still picked up by the same method.

considering key was extracted from lenovo oem iso from boot.wim, maybe it should be added there somewhere...

lol i just posted almost exactly the same thing a minute ago. I'm downloading waik. will see if can you have to modify boot.wim or w/e.

Also, do we know if cert is installed the same way? I'll figure it out when waik finishes downloading

That doesn't really answer where you put the product key though.

Would Volume License be the XRM-MS file?

    well if you search google.
simply type: windows 7 oem dvd

this oem key leak is all over the news.
i wouldn't be surprised if MS issues lenovo a new key & blacklists this one.
considering its only been like, 1 week & possible MILLIONS of activations

So you still put the cert in /sources/$OEM/$$/SYSTEM32/OEM ?

    Even with 64 bit?
