In Windows 7 to restrict access to a drive I would:

    Right click on the drive
    Properties
    Sharing
    Advanced Sharing
    Permissions
    Add
    Advanced
    Find Now
Double click on user I want to restrict access to
    OK
Click their name and deny all
    Ok
    Ok
    Apply
    Close

    And its done.

I do this in Windows 8 however and that user can still access that drive.
Any ideas on what I can do?

The Sharing tab is for Network accessible drives and NOT local drives!

Stop hovering to collapse... Click to collapse... Hover to expand... Click to expand...
