Can someone explain how to use AFUDOS if the bios file is bigger then 1,44mb i can't put it on a floppy. for example my MOBO is ASUS P5K-E wifi/AP biosfile 0503 or 0602 are 2mb each. even the modbios. and is afudos the savest tool to flash ?
i'm confused , afudos is predifened for A:\ (floppy 1,44) thats what i see, and can't select another disk or USBmemstick
After making a bootable USB stick, you copy the biosfile and afudos to the stick. Then you must boot from the usb stick to get acces.
thx guys last question, which program is the best biosflash program to use, afudos or the EZflash from ASUS Mobo ?
SatBird, here is the solution if you want to use a floppy First of all, the BIOS file for that mobo is no 2 mb but less than 1 mb (almost all ASUS BIOS files are less than 1 MB) Anyways, adding afudos and the BIOS to a bootable floppy gets you over 2MB This is what I did: Get a windows 95 or 98 bootable floppy (bootdisk.com has them if you need) Delete all the files in it EXCEPT for: COMMAND.COM AND THE HIDDEN FILES check that the floppy will boot ADD afudos and the BIOS files (it will be less than 1.44) BOOt and flash accordingly.
