Home Premium to Ultimate

    I am planning to buy a laptop which will comes with home premium. Am I possible to upgrade it to Ultimate let's say by changing the product key? If not, what are the possible ways?

    You will need to reinstall it all over again with Ultimate and import the cert and the key.
    This will activate Vista, just as it was activated from the factory.

    What is the OEM of your computer ?

    I am planning to get a Dell laptop.

    When you say reinstall, does it means clean install? Can I simply do an upgrade?
