Hoping For Help with Errors

    Fresh install of Windows 7 Ultimate x86 sp1, Slightly modified boot :).


    I have 2 system errors that I have no idea how to resolve.


    When opening system restore recieve error 0x81000203


    Windows could not search for new updates
    error found code 80070005


    Tried running the update readyness tool. microsoft kb 947821
    Recieve this error 0X80070002
    The system cannot find the file specified


    I don't know where else to look for help.
    As for system specs this is a sandisk usb Cruzer 16g.
    Windows installed not virtualized.
    Currently booting off 4 different computers.

    Thank you for the quick reply.
    After checking the settings. They are correct, changed to enable to turn off, but still getting the error. Changed to disabled still the same error. Rebooting after the change and verify services are running correctly.

    Started with untouched MSDN, modified X:\windows\boot <---- folder.
    Ran chkdsk /f /r no errors on HDD <-- HDD is usb flash drive
    Verified that the image runs and installs on sata hdd with no errors

    recent changes:
    Removed page file due to performance issues.
    Correct Time setting flash drive didn't like keeping time.

    Try running the following command with admin privileges.
    sfc /scannow

    I guess I am going to have to find a work around for installing updates and disabling system restore.
    So far this project has been partly successful.
    I will be verifying if it will boot on MacBook Pro later today.
    So far this image doesn't work on AMD :(.
