Host file question

    How do i make host file read only?

    is your name ian82 by any chance??

    right click host file > click properties > click the box next to read only.

    Is this another forum I have to delete from the list I prefer to use coz of people are unpleasant (to be kind in the word I wont use)?

    Still don't get why hosts file attributes were changed in first place ... that file is write-protected by default :g:.

    For some reason when I tried it on a laptop with win8 preinstalled that was not mine, (fixed some stuff for a guy) the hosts file didn't even exist :rolleyes:
