Hi guys, Since my laptop is old,I'm trying to create a Super Lite Windows 10 , so can you suggest me a guide or video to make a super lite windows 10 by removing components using NT Lite, Win Toolkit, or any other toolkit ? P.s MSMG Toolkit does a good job, but i need it even lighter Thanks !
MSMG is Good as you already said & yes it is . User must use only one toolkit to service WIM image not many.
NTLite , or Win Toolkit , has too many components to remove, and many of them i don't know what they do, this is the guide im searching !! I have found Windows 10 under 1GB of install ISO, and they work perfect.
To make lite Windows is easy but to make it stable - not so. The safest way to slim Windows is by removing packages using dism only. Any third party tools more or less f**k up something and should be used with caution.
Your ISO is stable and fast, but you know i cant trust a ISO i found over internet. (meaby other guys think like me too) why you dont share your guide how to do it ?
go to reboot.pro, there are many projects with detailed how-to on creating the litest windows 10 environment: winpe. great for vm's or doing admin stuff if you are after something similar in size only full windows environment to be used on a real networked pc, get your feet back on the ground - it's bound to fail one way or another. fail hard. if MSMG toolkit is not for you, you might be interested in Windows Editions Reconstruction Project - just read the whole thread and you will find ways to create a lite but functional win 10 on the back of small scripts and sources from uup dump.
Use win7 if you want a lite os for an old machine. Like has been said before, removing components makes the OS unstable especially as you try to download security updates and such. There will be things that you never know programs use that are missing and causing problems. What's worse is that most programs won't accurately explain what is missing. They will just crash.
@ xermal1325 1GB only !! very strange right here after all the removals done and I still did the conversion from install.wim to install.esd what I get is 2.6GB
Its ivankehayov ISO , you can find it on Thepiratebay, its very stable and fast, but i dont know if its safe !
I upload my lite Win 10 LTSC x64 only on TPB. There is hash in the description there. If you download iso from my account - it's safe.
In light of the comming climate cacktastrophy i decide to do my part and make my computer more ecologicly friendly , faster and use less electricity so i took the main board out of the case and threw the case away so that the computer is lighter and now it weighs 2 kilos instead of 2.1 kilos and then it polished it so that it has less wind resistance and now it goes MUCH faster and then to make it more ecologicly freindly i painted it green .
I am still waiting for your activated 19041.1 Windows 10 Starter to share. (I thought you were away on long vacation...)
