How can i install Windows 8 after DBAN?

    i've been told that windows 8 only comes in upgrade version (NO FULL VERSION). my PC didnt come with a windows 7 disc it is preloaded on the computer. i want to know if i use DBAN will it also get rip of the preloaded windows 7 firmware and if so is it possible to install windows 8 without having to load 7 first.

    guys im a bit confused if i use Dban to completely get rip of windows on my pc can i install windows 8 from offical disc?

    What the OP has been told is actually right.
    Windows 8 can not be bought full Retail yet, you can buy Upgrade or SBS, but you can not get the "REAL" Retail Version yet, it will come out next year, doesnt ofc mean much, it's just "Licensing terms" in the end, Upgrade is like "Retail" license, SBS gives you a "OEM" license

    actually that's wrong I just seen the retail at walmart yesterday for 69.99

    Open the box, it will say "Upgrade" ;)
    Retail will be out next year for 200 euro or something.
