I want to print from my laptop that connected to my home wi-fi network. I've setup the desktop with a homegroup, grabbed the password, and tried to join the network on 2 laptops. Both failed. "Windows cannot set up a homegroup on this computer" was the result on both of them. I ran the troubleshooter, but it didn't found anything that I can do (it did found "undefined network problems" with the network troubleshooter). How can I know what's the reason those 2 lap's cannot join the HomeGroup? And, if I'm asking already - is there is another way to print from a laptop to a printer that connected to a desktop with internet access? TY in advance for any advice..
acrsn - I've tried restarting. Didn't help. What if under IPv6 details on the "Wireless Network Connection Status" it's written "No Internet access", and on the details I have Link-Local IPv6 Address but no IPv6 Default Gateway and no IPv6 DNS Server? Is it have something to do with it?
Ok. I've manage to create another HomeGroup through the laptop, and joined the desktop to it. I can access to files on the desktop from my laptop, but when I try to connect to the printer I got an error: "Windows cannot connect to the printer. Operation failed with error 0x0000000a" Any ideas?
same operating system (x32, x64, sp1 ...) on both computers (desktop & laptops) ? printer is shared on network properly ?
