how can i update my 1903 to 1909 now that 2004 is released? main reason: my microsoft store doesn't work anymore & i can't execute "Add-AppxPackage AppxManifest.xml -register" anymore for activating FM7. what i already did: alot to get the store and the module in powershell working but nothing worked, reinstalling windows store app, reinstalling .net, sfc /scannow, etc etc... and still get add-appxpackage is not recognized as cmdlet... so i tought: update the 1903 to 1909 (bec FM7 works on1909 also) (by microsoft site i can only update to 2004 version, and i had to rollback the in-place upgrade) i tried iso 1909 but this asks for a serial number that i don't have, i forgot how i installed windows on this computer but i think i used kmspico back in the day, having VK7JG-NPHTM-C97JM.... as serial any help plz? can i get somewhere the upgrade tool to go to 1909 (and not 2004) without need of serial or crack like i wopuld have been able to do when microsoft had still the upgrade to 1909 on their site instead of 2004... and it will hopefully clear the problem with add-appxpackage ps: i believe my windows is digital licenced right now
Disable internet and retry, because it never should ask for a key when upgrading a consumer sku. ps, can you run the QT from here: https://forums.mydigitallife.net/threads/multi-oem-retail-project-mrp-mk3.71555/#post-1283849 and post the saved log here, in code tags? ps2, if the ESD>ISO conversion only has Home onboard, it won't be able to upgrade your Pro install (and will ask for a key). so either convert the ESD to contain at least the Pro SKU or just use the techbench ISOs, i linked at and you are already downloading.
If so, You need to do a clean installation. Backup your files and do it, this is the fastest and safest way to go. It is not necessary to insert any key anywhere for installation, the other thing is activation. If You have Home or Pro activated, Your Windows will be activated automatically. In other cases, you must use tools or a real key. But why such a strange desire to install 1909 and not immediately 2004?
because appx from this user are not compatible with 2004 and 1909 enterprise - or education sku with gpo are valid until end of 2022
you'r ecorrect, no serial had to be enterred but a clean installation is getting closer... Getting error 0x80070005 - 0x2000A "The installation failed in the SAFE_OS phase with error during PREPARE_FIRST_BOOT Operation" i get it on both versions 1903, 1909 i did some net stop commands and retry, but i'll get the same error again, maybe not tbc
to clean install download windows 10 iso with media creations tools wrapper ( on mydigitalife to choose 1909 ) create new usb key boot computer from usb key , choose your disk drive , dont delete partition ! ) windows 10 indicate you have windows already installed and the current windows 10 was backupped as windows.old continue and after install move any file from from windows.old folder created on install disk to current windows 10 freshly installed , after that member of mydigitalife can help you !
