How I can clone Windows 10 from one partition to another? Hd clone and the dd command I did, but there are programs that do not work (the menu, wifi. Iexplorer). to test programs thanks
Google Macrium restore resize/reorder . Will show you how to restore to different partition. Does work as I have done many times.
Does this give you a dual boot ?. Just curious, why would you want to clone same exact state of OS and have another one ?
I copied & restored Win8.1 & Win10 to another partition & they even ended up activated as the copy was. I've used WHS2011 for this. It works fine as long as you are putting the (backup) copy on the same PC but another partition that is the same size or bigger than the one copied from. HTH
@odiebugs1 No it does not give u dual boot. Must use Bcdedit to create new partition if u want to create dual boot system. I have used this to eliminate older partitions of previous Win OS. I have had dual boot systems with Windows 8.1 and Windows 7. Then created 3rd partition with Windows 7 copy. Then upgraded the 3rd partition to W10. This preserves original Win 7 in case I didn't want to stay with W10. Later if I want to kill Win 7 I can restore back to original Win 7 partition and delete 3rd W10 Partition.
I have not been able to reinstall window7 from failed and would have to play with partitions, but since Windows 10 has its peculiarities by the type of hardware I do not take my chances. Easeus and bootable partition wizard not allow cloning for not having a unallocated partition, but I have 2 empty partitions. Thanks
