How do I activate Windows XP

    Hi All, I have just installed Windows XP Pro SP3 using the serial number from a friend which I am guessing will now be blacklisted.
    How do I activate Windows XP ?

    uhm... buy a legit serialnumber, if that doesn't suite you try reading some of the sticky threads, these contain all info needed.

    From the article link in the above post, I don't understand this sentence.

    "Note that the crack is not an activation crack for Windows, not for Windows XP, Vista or Windows 7, nor the crack can make Windows genuine."

    Since this is an XP group I will assume this crack is for XP, I think:). Can the batch file be used on a running system that already has the notice on the desktop? I guess I would have to change the key first.

    Also, are these two the same thing?
