How do i activate xp home retail on an asus netbook

    Read better..the changer is to change oembios files and activate PRO/HOME/MCE/ and WHS...Pro and home activate the same..just different serials...

    re-read the stickies would be a good idea..

    Maybe I have misread, but the oembios changer says it is to activate VLK editions, mine is a retail edition, my question was will it activate a retail edition? I can find no reference to activating retail.

    It will work..it installs the correct key for oembios files also..

    It is VLK AND OEMBIOS changer..the old script was named vlk2oem and is continued with this name for simplicity..will simply change OEMBIOS files and appropriate serial key for any type of install and makes them OEM...You need to change the files in more than one place and this tool does it..

    Well thanks for that, I xlited the xp disk, got it installed, fully updated & activated, with all the programms i needed, the full install was below 2.5gb, so all is good
