I want to install an old 15pin joystick Thrustmaster Joystick. I have installed the Craetive Game Port drivers for my Audigy Card but there is no Game Controller in Win7 64??
If you plug it in, you'll find under control pannel what you are looking for (if the drivers for your device are known).
I have a Thrustmaster Joystick with a 15 pin connector which is really well made and better than the carp the produce today and would love to continue using it, I already have a usb generic controller.
There`s a workaround for 32bit versions on creatives vista forum. Someone said they worked with 64 or pointed them in the right direction. Look for the gameport support pack thread.
Do a google search for " xbcd" driver- it's xbox emulation software that I currently use to play current games with a mooded xbox controller. It has support for alot of different branded game controllers including joysticks.Just install drivers, plug in your joystick and it should be detected as such by windows.Good luck.
I fought with this off and on for several months with a Microsoft FF steering wheel (gameport ONLY). Finally gave in and installed a dual boot XP and win7 OS. Problem solved 100%. XP still works great for most games. Just wasted a few gig of space to eliminate the grief.
I have a fix for the creative game port.. Let me find it .. ill post back! EDIT: I just realized i cant post images and links because of my post count, so i cant post fix!! ( ill post it once i have a high enough post count! Sorry for the inconvenience..) Best Ni3AM
Noooooo! That's cruel! There is a guy who got Vista Gameport workaround but I can;t seem to get it going on 7 64bit.
