How do I upgrade from vista home premium to vista ultimate?

    How do I upgrade from vista home premium to vista ultimate?
    without losing anything at all from my programs and system files. I would like to upgrade without losing anything, just to have the capabilities of the ultimate

    Get a Windows Vista Ultimate installation ISO (same arch and language) and pkey (I recommend a full edition key to avoid problems), then choose "Upgrade" at Setup. Make sure you're not booting into the disc, you're going into setup.exe while in Windows.

    Fun fact: Windows Anytime Upgrade discs are just standard upgrade-only discs, the product key does all the work there.

    delete ei.cfg from vista iso unlock all sku

    No need, cause Microsoft didn't put ei.cfg-based edition locking on Vista ISOs.
