Most of my programs (IE, Movie Maker, Studio Plus 9) shut down as soon as I open them because of DEP (Data Execution Protection). I found a blog that said to go to Command Prompt as an Administrator and type in "bcdedit.exe /set nx Always Off", but that doesn't work. The message I get is "The integer data is not valid as specified." These posts were from 2007 so maybe there's a new way to turn it off??? Just turning off certain programs doesn't work because it doesn't all me to turn off Movie Maker or IE. Any suggestions? My computer also gives me errors about the COM Surrogate. Any suggestions there? THANKS!
Thank you Offon thank you. Thank you. Thank you. I tried that so many times with spaces and without spaces between everything EXCEPT between "AlwaysOff". That worked successfully. Thank you so much!
