    Hi people,

I've tried to modify the bios for Acer Aspire 5535 laptop but I'm unable to do it myself :(

Phoenix Tool by andyp is able to modify the bios file successfully, but the resulting EXE file won't update the bios because it complains that is older than the current one.

The modified bios.rom file made by forum member BusyKid508 doesn't works under msdos, the error message is "invalid flashint.bin".

However, the bios.wph made by BusyKid508 DOES work under msdos, and it flashes correctly!

Does anyone know how do you extract a .WPH from inside a Wistron compressed executable?

How did BusyKid508 manage to extract it? Did he use an hex editor? Or is there any tool available to do it??

    Kind regards.

Kinda curious myself on this one, as much as I hate to necro an old thread. I'm not having much luck decompressing these .exe's either, and I need a BIOS Dump to reflash a bricked Aspire 5535.
