Like I said, in title, How can I know, what activation was used to activate any edition of seven? I only know there is out there/here, three types/kind of "activation" - (exclude the genuine mode): - By loader - via kms - and some changes of permissions of slmgr(i thik) - removeWAT mode What techiniques do you use? I saw some comments about mgadiag...How interpreted mga diagnostic? i want to learn how to "read" mga raports... Thx!!
Simple answer is always use clean windows 7 dvd and you decide what method you want to use do not download modified version of windows 7.
It would be cool for someone to do a thread/stickie so more people can read those mga reports Some solutions will leave bread crumbs. For instance: 1. Services may be disabled, changed setting/properties 2. Hosts file may be altered or have other entries 3. IR4 will have just a task called "rearm" in TS 4. KMS might have service or task installed also a app called "keygen.exe" somewhere on OS ususally in the KMS app Modification solutions cause those problems and more. Loaders usually sit around the boot part of our OS's so Daz loader is used to uninstall those loaders. If your usiing loader and get flagged was either non-Daz or old daz. Answer just use latest and get technical help in Daz thread
to read mga reports: hit copy button after tool runs paste the clipboard into notepad or similar -- this gives you a lot of data that's not on the screen look for 'tamper' in this log. if you see it, use sfc /scannow to restore any files altered by softmods/wat removal scripts. this way you don't even need to know which method was used. I found this out today while spending approx an hour to get my win7 install to recognize as genuine.
Well from what I could tell there's 3 main reasons validation fails -- WAT tamper detection, blacklisted keys (for win7 this is the lenovo key ONLY) or SLP validation fail (wrong SLIC or WAT patched out your softmod, hardmod, etc.) The SLP validation stuff is under the "OEM Activation 2.0 Data" heading. The first reason I addressed in my original post, second is pretty well covered by the " Not genuine after KB971033 update? Read this!" thread, and third I guess I forgot to mention.
I suppose i worded it a bit wrong. What i should have said is, take a MGA report and section it out and explain each "section" so people who want to understand HOW to read the MGA can better understand what everything means for the most part.
That's right!... All this work, to know exaclly what method we have to use, to complete the new activaton succesfully.... thx Reign_Of_Freedom, for completing me/"translated" me... I think, Daz, himself, knows how to interpret mgadiag...is just a guess
With the amount of time needed to hunt down, correctly identify and then hopefully correct activation mods so Windows passes the Genuine tests every time a new update is released ... you may just be better off formatting and reinstalling Win7 from a clean unhacked DVD. It's one thing to have the "Not Genuine" nag pop up out of nowhere on your own computer... but when it starts happening on friends and relatives computers that you thought you "fixed" that's another thing.... nobody needs that kind of aggravation.
I hate to be a smart*ss and I am not trying to flame(and reprimand me if you must but I can't resist...),that depends on what your definition of "is" is
