I component removed the photo app for the Windows 10 LTSC 1809 using MSMG toolkit. I also tried restoring Windows Photo Viewer through the registry and it didn't work.

How do I bring back Windows Photo Viewer?

Save this in notepad as 'Windows PhotoViewer fix.reg' and run.

    Code:
    Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

    ; Change Extension's File Type
    [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Classes\.jpg]
    @="PhotoViewer.FileAssoc.Tiff"

    ; Change Extension's File Type
    [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Classes\.jpeg]
    @="PhotoViewer.FileAssoc.Tiff"

    ; Change Extension's File Type
    [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Classes\.gif]
    @="PhotoViewer.FileAssoc.Tiff"

    ; Change Extension's File Type
    [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Classes\.png]
    @="PhotoViewer.FileAssoc.Tiff"

    ; Change Extension's File Type
    [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Classes\.bmp]
    @="PhotoViewer.FileAssoc.Tiff"

    ; Change Extension's File Type
    [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Classes\.tiff]
    @="PhotoViewer.FileAssoc.Tiff"

    ; Change Extension's File Type
    [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Classes\.ico]
    @="PhotoViewer.FileAssoc.Tiff"

I suggest you to install Windows Movie Maker with Windows Live Essential installer. Choosing it during setup process, will be install also an evolution of classic Windows7-like Photo Viewer.
In addition, I noticed that classic Photo Viewer can't open some pictures come from some Android devices.
Other third party viewers usually don't follow the order you set on a folder (except by Name order) if you open a pic from File Explorer and move to the next file using arrow buttons.

Stop hovering to collapse... Click to collapse... Hover to expand... Click to expand...
