My Win7 x86 update to Win10 x86 took 9 minutes to download, 25 minutes to prepare & 35 minutes to install until I hit the deaktop. I had a ton of folders & files on the desktop, My documents & My pictures & a lot of apps for the update to copy & reinstall. PC= 8 GB ram, 3.4 GHz CPU. DL= 50-58 Mb/s HTH
totally depends on system specs for most of it. An hour is a good benchmark for most systems 4 to 6 years old in my trials. My newer beefer systems can be done in less than 40 minutes. The media you use will play a big role as well, DVD is obviously going to add much more time vs installing from a USB device. Installing from an SSD drive is so far the quickest way I've used.
