Just figured I would ask before even attempting to try it out, I'm sure that its a little unstable. I've been thinking about trying for awhile. Just wanted to ask how is the stability of windows 10 tech preview as of now?
Yesterday I installed the official build 9879,works very well for me,much better than the unofficial build 9901.I wait for the next official release of the January
Sounds fine to me, I've used much less stable then that xD *looks at Linux and Windows longhorn beta*
I'm using it as main OS. Windows 8.x drivers works, all of my programs runs fine, games works with no problems... No need to go back to Windows 8.x.
So anyone know whats going to happen when the final version comes out? Will be getting a free upgrade to it? (you know windows 8 users). Or when it comes out the preview version of windows will expire and you'll have to reinstall windows 8?
You will update to any next build as usual. Use Advanced Tokens Manager to backup your activation tokens and serial number to restore a license in future. You might face a serious issues depending on witch build you want to install. 9879 and 9888 suffering from GDI leak in explorer, 9901's explorer is ok but threre is alot of another issues like you can't set pin code (second field for confirmation is missing), alot of people face trouble with modern apps doesn't work, camera hub doesn't recognize a logitech web cam, win key doesn't close start screen, lock indicators is still broken (since build 9879). There isn't alot of new features for that moment, but it's faster.
