Hello all.. hopefully someone could help me. I just purchased a laptop with windows 10 in it. It includes some Microsoft office software. as far as I can tell its just the basic version, Home, publisher, powerpoint, outlook. It all says 2016 next the file name..

Does anyone have a simple trick to activate it?

    thanks

thanks Enthousiast for the very HELPFUL response. All of this is very overwhelming to me so I am trying to learn as I figure this out. What is a VL Edition? ( I am a SUPER NEWB at all of this)

ok I know what VL is. Volume Licensing .. LOL ok I am still lost but I am reading the other threads furiously..

I personally don't care if I get 2016 or 2013.. All I really want is word, outlook and powerpoint. whatever package comes with that and not too many extras would be fine... I will keep reading to figure this all out.
