My Dell computer came with a Windows XP Professional SP2 reinstallation disk, but I don't have a COA key for it. How can I activate this after installation?

OEM SLP is the type of key your computer came preactivated with. COA means nothing..only Proof of Purchase.

Use one of those keys for your XP install. A repair cd is nothing more than a retail/OEM cd with the necessary OEMBIOS files and a key..

Use a key and enjoy..Dell = Royalty OEM machine...

you mentioned that you're trying to install this on a different computer. in the first post you mentioned your dell computer. so which one is it?

have you already reinstalled windows xp and now you're stuck at activating? if so, use this tool for activation

or are you stuck at reinstalling because you have no key to enter during install? does the installation allow you to go on without a key?
